I picked up the Cigar Oasis Plus 3.0 Electronic Humidifier out of the suggestion from one of my dear ones. The product was incorporated in my place about 3 years ago, and still, it is my favorite. Yes, there are some factors that one needs to follow.

This electronic humidifier requires maintenance every 2-3 weeks. Trust me; it will work flawlessly after then. The Limited Guarantee
Frankly, I am a lazy person. I don’t like complicated stuff. Very much to my delight, this device suits me perfectly. However, It doesn’t have a battery system. So, whenever the device is unplugged, the whole system ceases to function. Even I hardly touch the cigar cooler except for adding or removing cigars. But last month, I faced an issue when the fan just stopped working suddenly. As the guarantee covered only for 1 year, hence I was told “SORRY”. I had to pay another $150 to get the thing done again. This upset me a bit.

It can take capacity up to 300 – 100 cigars with a soft-to-touch sensor button. The 3.0 model is very easy to use and maintain. Altogether, I am very satisfied with my purchase. Fortunately, the new line of Cigar Oasis humidifiers has built-in Wifi capability, which was not available in the previous models.
With the launch of Oasis 3.0 models, that need has been met, and you don’t need to invest extra on other attachments. Now it has become extremely easy to control and monitor the device through their mobile app available for both Android and iOS users.
This feature comes in very handy for those who frequently travel, about 3-4 times a week. For them, it’s essential to monitor the temperature and humidity of the humidor and determine whether or not it’s time to change the cartridge.
All you need to do is plug the Cigar Oasis Excel 3.0 unit into a basic wall outlet. Thanks to its ribbon power capable, you can conveniently close the humidor door without any issue.
The unit performs extremely well with a NewAir CC-100H and takes just about a few minutes to set up.
The Minor Set-Backs I faced
There’s another point that must be mentioned here. The app requires some additional fees to boot if you need to make it work smoothly. I wished to have the display at the bottom of the device rather than the top of it. The cord is quite long to reach the back of the humidor. On the other hand, reading the display is quite more difficult than it should be.
These minor complaints are from my personal experience and may not be considered as a flaw from a different perspective. When compared to the facilities that Oasis Plus 3.0 provides, very few will consider these as setbacks. I hope that by no means this one will disappoint me as it’s by far the best humidifier I have used.

Unit Setup:
- Remove all the accessories and content from the box and unwrap them.
- Identify the water cartridge pre-filled with distilled water and get rid of the tape.
- Assemble the Cigar Oasis Ultra 3.0 by lining the tab placed on the cartridge with the slot placed near the ULTRA label right on the unit. Following this, connect the ribbon cable marked A to its corresponding port on the ULTRA unit. (Note: The flat part of the cable will slide out the side of the humidor.)
- Similar connect Ribbon Cable B to the Micro USB cable B. Then attach C TO Adapter C and plug into the outlet.
Cartridge refill:
- Get a bowl of distilled water and immerse the cartridge in it for four minutes. Or you can also pour the water into the holes and wait for the cartridge to absorb it. Repeat the process till the cartridge stops absorbing the water.
- Take the cartridge out and keep it standing up for a minute.
- Empty the extra water from the cartridge. There should be just enough to keep the foam damp.
- Dry the cartridge and reassemble the unit
Note: There should be no dripping when the cartridge is held upside down.
My Experience
Make sure to read the manual and then find a place suitable for the electronic humidifier. Get ready for a set and forget machinery that will always keep your wineador at the perfect temperature.

Even though the unit offers many benefits, it’s a large-sized unit, and you will require some space to fit this humidor. But thankfully, it has a convenient ribbon-sized plug, so detaching it from the power source and moving it from one place to another is not difficult.
You should also check to see if the device is powered on occasionally. To eliminate this concern, purchase rechargeable batteries.
